But I love listening to violins so much. Vivaldi just tears at my soul. I have a bass guitar now but very little time to play it, and I've invested so many years in flute it's easy to just sit and play and have it be therapy vs. having to pay so much attention to my hands.
I started out with piano. Then I picked up flute, sax, clarinet, and started working on the bassoon and oboe when I quit band. I love to play, but I don't have the talent of composition.

I'd love to play the violin. It has the ability to express so much.

I played piano for a while too, it's a great tool for transposing, but I really don't remember much of it. Vivaldi showing off violin to its greatest (IMO)

Sonja, #3 is a 3t with extra length and smaller rise. 15-16 inch leg I will have to remeasure him to be sure which or I will do a rollable cuff because his waist won't grow much.

Once upon a time, I was a grown up who knit only with plain, boring solids. Now I can't even stand a waistband in solids. What happened?

I wish I could squeeze in a hat now too, I'm sure Pi would love one. Pixie *needs* longies though with the weather change. At least a couple pairs. I need to do lucet cords for the detachable ruffles for the longies Tina made us too, those are actually starting to turn into high waters
Would love to see Pixie pics!

And the Comfort Mtn mittens pattern is awesome, I made Ellie a pair for this winter

Yeah but it's not even a snobbery thing, cause I still love looking at intricate cables in solids and semis. It's more like ADD or something. It just seems flat and lifeless and boring. Maybe it's just a phase?

Idk I don't like solids. They are super boring.

I'm reasonably ok with semi solids if they have a lot of depth/layers to them. But I guess that makes them still "colorways" at that point. I saw a bunch of spinners I talk to on Rav going crazy over a recent woolmeise (sp?) update and the people that got stuff shared pictures, and I was just like... wow. solids. whoopdeedoo. But I know that one day a long time ago I would've been all over it.
