Ha, my vibes to have your littles thwart your knitting progress do make it all the way to PA I've been up since 9 and have not picked knitting up yet though. Huge progress on getting rid of toys we don't use/need any more though. Went through the upstairs toybox. May go through the bins down here quick while DH and #1 are gone.

Re: KAL Oct 7-13 *Knit the funk away!*

Morning!

Woke up this morning to a completely fried phone. I tried my spare battery and it won't even register a charge or anything. I think it over heated . So I am eating some chocolate chips to make me feel better .

Pianist . I have always wanted to learn the piano and guitar (I can only play simple things) but I am a drummer .

Good morning!

It's cool to learn more about you ladies. So many musical gals here.

Goals today:

Get milk (we've been out for a few days)
Get the downstairs spotless
Figure out dinner
Rearrange some furniture
Put away the mountain of laundry

Eta: maybe get brave and knit a nb skirty. Even if I don't have a girl I could fsot it.

Don't feel bad about it! I don't got often but was getting my nails done before DH got laid off. He wanted to still have me go in but I just can't do then when we're living on my modest income alone!

I missed this the first time, so sorry Dani! And I use sposies this time around...you should see my laundry mountain...it's even named!

I like the layers and depth. I do just enough to still be able to work in intricate patterns IMO, but I know in the world of solids/semi-solids those are all technically colorways. I just layer them over the tops of each other rather than painting them side by side, kwim?
By looking, it appears we use similar technique! Gorgeous all!!

Oh you haven't LIVED until you knit at least one skirty! I remember when that trend began yeeeeears ago. I made the first 'bloomers' style back in the day when HC was the CD world.

I don't play anything but my brother can place everything. He composes. I sing. I'm actually going to try out for The Voice next year... NO expectations as I am not wanting to be a rock star lol, but it would be nice to sing and get paid for it!

Re: KAL Oct 7-13 *Knit the funk away!*

I have only knit one skirty, and it is sooo cute

So, I have realized just how much I suck at doing the cuffs on soakers, I just haven't found my groove in picking up stitches, it seems, maybe I BO too tightly? Have anyone just left the soaker as is, with no little cuff on it, or is that a soaker no no?
