Carly, maebelle's bday is dec 22....poor kid. I hate that she gets a zillion gifts all at once and nothing any other time. Although it does make her dec pretty awesome.

Cd1 here. Af showed up 3 days late. Good news is that with this long cycle, now dh will be back in town this month at o time. He's leaving for a week and it would have been right when I was o'ing, yet now at least I have a shot next month. :-)
Yeah, December birthdays are a rip-off... Logan was a month early, otherwise he'd of been a mid-January baby... not a lot better, but better than cram-packing his gifts all into the same week of December.

Sorry about AF showing up, but hopefully this will be your month to get the timing JUST right with your DH being home!!

Congrats to the BFPs!

DH's birthday is dec 22 and his sister's is jan 3 so their mom used to celebrate half birthdays too. Made him feel better about it.

My mom's strategy was to move our family celebration of Christmas (mostly gift opening) to New Years so that my sister's Dec 21st birthday would feel like a birthday.

We loved it because it extended Christmas.

This is a good idea. I've thought about doing that. I have a friend who does a half cake for her kids on their half birthdays.

That's a good idea about extending the Christmas gifts... and I have seriously considered having Logan's birthday party in June and celebrate his half years.

CD 1 for me. AF had been toying with me all day and of course she finally showed up while we were running errands tonight.
