Re: Show me your nb in cloth diapers!!!

DD was about 4 weeks old here, not a brand new babe but I found these quickly while looking for some pics. She was about 9 pounds here . While Kanga-Care as a whole is most definitely not my first choice in diaper manufacturers (bad customer service experience(s)), we LOVED 'Lil Joeys on DD until about 10-11 pounds. They have a great shape to fit little bitty behinds without extra material or bulk anywhere you don't want it. They are outgrown quickly though, after those we used mostly BG newborn (XS) AIOs and those are fantastic little diapers! I found them to be just a little too big and "boxy" if that makes sense (?) on a brand new bitty newborn, but after 9-10 pounds or so they are super. They fit DD until about 14 pounds. I started using a tiny bamboo doubler in them when they needed a little extra absorbency when DD was close to outgrowing them.

Anyway, here is my sweetie (before she lost most of her dark hair, poor girl is pretty thin on top right now ) in a 'Lil Joey:

Re: Show me your nb in cloth diapers!!!

Here is my little guy (6 pounds 12 ounces at birth) at 10 days old in a GMD workhorse fitted with a Swaddlebees ABC NB wrap.

At 13 days in a XS Fuzzibunz (I LOVED these) - I'm more of a pocket and AIO type of gal

And 17 days in a Tots Bots Tinifit (this one was pretty awesome too)

I also had a few bumGenius XS but I didn't put him in those until he was 2 weeks old and he overwhelmed their absorbency and we had a leak so I never tried them again.

Re: Show me your nb in cloth diapers!!!

Lulu wore cloth right from birth, at 7lb 7oz, 19 3/4in

Her first diaper was a Bummis XS cover over a trifolded washcloth, I loved these - soooo tiny, fit under the cord perfectly, and even with just trifolding, held everything in! There is NO extra bulk on those diapers, just cute tinyness! She outgrew them at around a month old.

I only had 2 Bummis covers, the rest were TinyG's can't find a picture at the moment, but they were super as well. I stuffed them with a trifolded washcloth as well.

All this being said - if I were to have another baby, I would just buy all Alva Newborns and call it done. I WISH I would have gotten those earlier! I loved the fit, I loved the ease, I loved everything about them!!! (she's about a month and a half in this picture)
