Anyone else with a SCH?
Friday I found myself in the ER bleeding like crazy at 8 weeks. Ultrasound revealed a 2cm subchorionic hemorrhage
ER doc wasn't a whole lot of help on the prognosis other than "you're at higher risk of miscarriage now". I'll be seeing my ob on Wednesday. Hopefully will get more specific info then.Anyone else dealing with this?

I had one about 5 years ago. Same time another mama did. We were just a few weeks apart. Mine healed and baby stayed, but she lost her baby around 15 weeks from it. You just simply do not know. And you can't just put your feet up and hope it heals. I was suppose to be on bed rest, but was impossible. My husbands job wouldn't allow time off and we had another child. I took it easy. Rested but still lived up and vertical. Mine started at 5weeks and resolved at 12-13, I think. For sure put yourself on pelvic rest and sit when you can. No trip to Disney or all day Saturday shopping spree. Usually they self resolve with no issues. Good luck mAma!! I'll be praying for you!

Re: Anyone else with a SCH?
I had one at 6wks with my first set of twins. They told me I was going to lose one of the twins. I bled and it was scary and I'm sure I got some gray hairs from the stress of it and that was it. They are almost 5 years old now. SCH's are very common and don't usually cause any problems except bleeding and scaring mom. They usually resolve on their own within a few weeks. Mine was gone in 2-3wks.
I hope your bleeding is very short lived and everything looks perfect on Wed.

Re: Anyone else with a SCH?
I had one at 11 weeks w/ my 10th baby. I bled heavily that day, lighter the next 4 days and it lightened to brown around day 5 or 6. Brown for weeks. I was UP, unassisted pregnancy, and just went in for the U/S at the ER where we saw a beating heart and a healthy baby. I knew what it was most likely before going in. I also knew the statistics and nothing can be done, but a wait and see. So I just continued on and he was born at home unassisted.

Re: Anyone else with a SCH?
I had one at 8w4d with my last baby. I bled so bad I thought there was no way I hadn't miscarried. Turns out it was a SCH and baby was ok. I was not put on bedrest, as my OB said there is no evidence it actually helps. She said it could go either way, but seeing a heartbeat was good. My little guy hung on and is 14mths now.
