Now I'm not saying that ever fear we have as moms is real or true, but I will say that IF your mothering instincts are telling you that something is not right you should exhaust all resources to make sure that your instinct is wrong. Don't settle on a Lazy know it all Dr, or a dr taking the "its such a small chance" my daughters cancer is one in a million pediatric cancers diagnosed!!!!
i never thought anything was wrong until my ds one year check up we had been going to the same pediatrician since he was born but when my dh went on deployment we moved home to stay with family and i didnt know any peds there so i just yook him to my moms family doctor i thought it would be fine for just one appt. and they basically tortured him trying to take blood from a vein in his arm and they couldnt get it so they decided to just prick his finger aand he was already histerical by that point and they kept squeezing hos finger over and over to get a vial full anyway a couple weeka later the nurse called and said i needed to come in to discuss his blood work and she basically said it could be leukemia and instead of telling me she wanted tk re do the blood work because something messed up i dont know she could have said anything but that! anyway she re did the blood work and she said it was normal except he was anemic well after that i didnt trust her so i found a pediatrician and took ds to them and they said his blood work was fine and that he was anemic but i still didnt feel right so i took him.to a hemotologist and they confirmed the same thing but ever since that doctor said that to me i have been a wreck just constantly looking for symptoms or googling things and then thinking he has some othwr horrible thing wrong i just cant shake the feeling and i just feel so stressed all the time

he has gotten like 3 or 4 colds recently and threw up and had fever one of the times, he has gotten tiny pea size bruises on his back and belly, and he has had a few crazy stools that looked really dark and kinda grainy and had it tested for blood came up negative. right now he has a little chest congestion and an occasional cough

None of those sound concerning at all except for the bruises, but you said he was anemic correct?
Maybe a food allergy? Or celiacs?

But you are his mother and know best and no matter what your mothering instincts are there for a reason, BUT anxiety or PPD can make things seems much more of an issue than they actually are. You just have to be careful about jumping from a few colds and weird stools to brain cancer.

oh and he has always been a very sweaty baby he sweats alot when hes running around and when hes asleep but that never concerned me before either. and he had a few petechaie spots like literally maybe 5? on his shoulder and arm area but the doctor just said it could have been because his body was fighting off a viral infection his platlets were always normal. i dont know like i said before his one year check up he had only been sick one time and he didnt start walking til 17 months so i think he just falls weird to get these bruises and his daddy likes to toss him in the air so i think thats where the tummy bruises came from i dont know like i said i never felt this way until thay doctor said that and now i feel like i look for things

This. Glad im not alone.
Cars scare me. Accidents, getting ran over. Falls also scare me. Freak things. Burns, abuse, kidnapping, etc. I try to limit my exposure to news stories.

No. It does nothing to help and makes it worse. No to mention can cause health affects in you.

So, she had it at birth but wasn't diagnosed until she was almost 5?
