Clean poop?

I have read so many threads on how to clean dipes but now that my newbie is here I'm too sleep deprived to figure this out.

The dipes come out of our HE too loader with parts that are more than stains, my husband calls them "clean poop"!

We currently add water I the load...

So we do a cold rinse.

Hot wash with soap and an extra rinse.

Help?

Possibly try a warm rinse instead of cold first. Warm water may help loosen that stuff up more.

I would also stop adding water. The HE top loaders clean without agitators, so the garments need to rub together. If there's too much water, they can't do that. I have an HE top loader too and never add more water, and haven't had anything left on the diapers.

Yes to the above, and make sure you have a full but not overfull load. The drum should be 1/2-2/3 full to get the right amount of agitation in a FLer.

Re: Clean poop?

I haven't used my top loader HE machine to wash diapers, I hate it still. Our clothes stink and have more stains. Pants come out with clumps of dirt still on them. And it's gross, but underwear still has discharge. I don't think I could ever get diapers clean with it. It is out the door as soon as our tax return gets here, and we are going back to a regular non-HE top loader with a full sized agitator.

Re: Clean poop?

what detergent? Ive found some detergents work better and stain removal than others. FWIW it doesn't mean they others aren't working not ALL staining means unclean diapers jsut that soem will get stains out easier than others. Tide gain Arm N hammer for example get stains out super well for me.. Sun, All cheer not as well on stains but they still get diapers cleaned.. detergents like purex or Rock N green for me just don't clean period.

Breastfed or formula fed? My littles have been ebf, so I don't know for sure, but most people seem to say that formula poop needs to be sprayed/rinsed before washing.
