Covers leaking

So I have a blueberry cover and a Thirsties cover which are basically no longer working. The blueberry cover last few times I used it it was like she wasn't even wearing a cover. Pretty much the same with the Thirsties cover. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I should just throw them away? I don't really need to use them anymore anyway...just not sure what to do with them...I hate throwing things away!

Where are they leaking? What are you outing under them? Is the PUL intact?

Re: Covers leaking

The PUL appears to be intact. My two other thirsties covers, bought at the same time, are working just fine. I use prefolds underneath, and I change her very often...she actually pees on the potty a lot so the diaper is rarely soaked. It actually leaks right through the cover, like the blueberry one her entire butt of her pants was wet. I tried it a few times, thinking it was a freak thing...and tried putting it throught the dryer (usually hang dry) because I heard that can seal the PUL or something...but didn't help. The thirsties are almost 3 years old, on the second child, the blueberry was bought used for DD2 so not sure exaclty how old it is.

Look at the PUL side of the cover and stretch it alarm a little. Do you see cracks? No amount of 'drying' can fix bad PUL.
