Trainers?

Are they worth it? Or is it better to just go from diaper to underwear?

They are good for overnight, naps, & outside of the house- we do underwear at home when pting. Worth it b/c sposie trainers are $$$$!!!

Re: Trainers?

Definitely worth it for out of the house...I couldn't find a trainer that would handle my daughter's pees at nap/bedtime so we eventually just used sposies till she was dry then. My favorite trainer for out of the house were Imse Vimse organ cotton trainers...they have a little absorbency and a hidden pul waterproof layer...but still generally feel like undies. I bought them used on FSOT and am now using them on DD2!

So undies at home and trainers out and about? And then avoid pull ups all together!

Re: Trainers?

It depends on what you use for diapers. We had some side snapping fitteds and snapped them loose and used them as trainers with wool pants for out of the house and they worked pretty well. They have the benefit of being very absorbent and working well even for nights/naps. There are some good trainers out there as well. My youngest still wets the bed though he has been potty trained for years now and I have several trainers that work great for keeping the bed dry (better than sposies anyway). If you are looking for something like that I suggest pocket trainers with PUL outers. They are a bit more expensive but work well.
