If you just keep using the disposables, there is a good chance you might never make that leap, you will get too used to the convenience and trim bum. I say return any unopen packs and get her in her cloth

Re: When did you start

DD #1 we intended from the start (upon comming home) but we also jsut had gerbers stuff since I thought it was the only thing avaiable.. Everything we had though was soooooo huge there was no way so we did sposies. She started in cloth (And we discovered online sites) at around 3-4 months

DD#2 first cloth at 24 hours...

If getting money for the diapers is not an issue why don't you see if you can donate them to a local shelter or something like that. You don't have to use the disposables up right away. Make the jump to using your cloth (you already spent money on that) and the. Donate, freecycle, Craigslist, or just hold on to the diapers for long car trips or vacations.

Just another thought, who is giving you all of these diapers? Do they know that you want to use cloth? I told friends and family that I was using cloth so people didn't buy me disposables. They got me wipes or clothes instead.

So I'm figuring that once she gets out of the NB disposables I'll do cd and as she gets bigger ill save disposables for going out or trips... DD2 is almost 3 weeks old and we are in the same boat! We have tons of sposies. I don't quite have enough CD's to keep her in them while we do laundry, so I use all the CD's and then put her in sposies while the CD's wash and dry (and sometimes I am lazy and it takes me a day or so to get the diaper laundry done.. Ha!). So far this rotation is working out okay for us. Once I build up our stash and have enough diapers to keep her solely in cloth we might use sposies sometimes when we are out and about or I may just hold on to the unopened packages and re-gift them!

Re: When did you start

I didn't know anything about CDs until DD was about 4 months old. Wish we would have started sooner!
