October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

This thread is for all of us ladies who are still trying for our first living child.

The truth is at the end of the day when we're anxiously awaiting that BFP.......and it's a BFN we don't have any precious LO's to hold in our arms. We have no comfort in the children we already have, since we have none.

And sometimes it makes us sad to keep hearing about everyone else with children, and stories about those children just hurt. So we won't mention any children here. So it's a safe place without judgment when we get jealous.

Mamas to be... TTC #1

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

I'm on CD 42. I keep peeing on sticks HCG because I can't help myself..and I ordered 150 of them in the last co op before I found out about our extra issues. Chances are very very low this month..not a lot of BD at all...maybe I ovulated..plus our other issues, it's probably pretty doubtful, but I can't stop my hoping and wishing and peeing on everything lol

How is everyone else doing?

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

I'm back... it's been waaay too quiet on here ladies!

I'm CD# 5. AF was way different this month too. My last normal AF was probably in August. I had spotting late in Sept and then a wierd short AF. (mine are usually short and heavy and last 1 day of heavy, 2 days of super light). Last month was a week of spotting and then light for a day and then gone. This month I had crazy cramps for a day, but a super light AF for 2 days. Since I started again, I'm going to make sure I'm ovulating with the OPK strips this month.

How is everyone else doing?

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

Yeah it has been pretty quiet. My period has been pretty weird lately. I'm waiting for AF..I think I'm like CD 43 maybe 44? Too lazy to check lol

I thought I started my period yesterday, but then nothing after the one time I noticed it..and nothing since them..but it's probably coming soon.

I have yet to ever get a positive OPK. I'm not sure if that means I'm not ovulating or not. This cycle when I did the soy I didn't get anything even close to a positive OPK but my chart defintely followed a pattern like I see others doing if they ovulate. So who knows. I have heard that if you have PCOS that OPKs can be not reliable.

I probably don't have PCOS but I do have a lot of the "signs" but my doctor said my blood work was all normal. Who knows.

Anyways, mostly just waiting to go see the uruolgist for hubby in December. Also trying to convince myself to go see another doctor myself. Just kind of scared/nervous about what they will say.

Also just trying not be too depressed that my best friend is definitely pregnant. I'm super super happy for her, but when we were both TTC we joked about how fun it would be to be pregnant at the same time (our mom's were pregnant at the same time/friends ish) and with all the bad news we've gotten lately it's been really tough on me, and well I've been way too depressed about all of it lately, not been great for my daily state of mind.

It's just been tough for me lately.

Hope everyone else is doing okay!

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

CD#9. My EOD is the 22nd. I get spotting and a pain in my side every month which I think is ovulation so i'm going to be watching for it this month. Hopefully nothing goes wrong this month like it has been and we can actually BD. I was reading another thread about how many children the posters wanted and it got me wondering, would anyone here like to share how many they want? I've always leaned towards wanting one but I find myself wanting two sometimes. DH is adamant about wanting two. After all this though I think we'll both be happy to just get one.

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

I hear yah Becca. At this point I would be happy with one also, especially if we are going to have to do IVF. I read it can take up to 3 times, I really can't picture us being able to afford it 3 times, let alone enough times to get a second baby.

I've always wanted two. My hubby likes the idea of two. Since looking at baby stuff, TTC I started wanting 3. At the very least I'd love to have a boy and a girl but at this point I really think I could be happy with one if that's all we could manage. But all of us in here are still "young." I'm turning 28 this Novemeber. It sounds "old" to me but I know it's not really. I still got 12 good years of having a baby if not more. My mom had me at 40, but I'd rather have my babies younger if I can help it.

I'm on CD 51, it's driving me nuts, these crazy cycles. I bled for 26 days this cycle though, and it's only been about 26 days since I stopped spotting/bleeding, so idk.

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

We were bumped to the 2nd page! I guess we haven't been as chatty lately. I'm kind of relaxing and waiting... I feel like all I do is wait, lol.

Nothing really new here... except that my body is hating mexican food. I used to LOVE it but I can't even stand the smell of it lately. It sounded good to eat yesterday but ended up being the worst thing ever. It's CD #17 for me and I am not sure because I forgot to test, but my chart shows that I O'd around the 19th. I can't believe I forgot to test because I just bought a ton of tests in the co-op and have been obsessive about POAS. Lol.

As far as kids, I would totally be happy with just 1. I have always thought I would definately want 2 or maybe even 3, but at this rate I would love to just have 1! Since it will probably be IVF for us, I can't see us doing it more than once due to the expense. I really wish it was somehow at least covered a little under insurance. Sigh.

In other news, I have been shopping at thrift stores waaay too much... I actually have a bunch of baby stuff stored away in our spare room. I can't help it with how cheap I have gotten some of the things for. But, at the same time it's a little sad looking at it all without a little baby to use them. But... I just have to have faith that we will get there. I've gotten a bunch of other stuff from the thrift stores as well and have been crafting away! I have been crocheting Christmas gifts like crazy, and just got a HUGE bag of various buttons for $1 that I am saving to add on to different things that I make and sew... I wish we all lived near each other so we could hang out and craft!

Rebecca, I totally understand the best friend pregnant situation. One of my best friends who has been TTC for over a year found out she was pregnant a little over a month ago. I think she is about 10-11 weeks now. I am so happy for her and I know it has been a struggle for her, but I wish that we were able to be pregnant at the same time. We had talked about it for a long time, and how cool it would be to raise our children and have them be friends, just like we are. I can't help feeling a little sad it's not me, but I know that my time will come. I hope your cycles get more regular and that you get to the bottom of it!

Re: October TTC #1 -No Children Mentioned-

There's only a couple of us still around, but I think it gets hard, because a lot of us seem to be here for the long haul.

I'm not as super depressed about it all as I was a few weeks ago regarding the possibility of us getting pregnant/my best friend getting pregnant/not being pregnant with my BFF. Still sad about it, but it's not as debilitating as it was.

I got my cloth diaper website up on facebook and I've been really busy doing that stuff and sewing.

Mostly I just feel like I'm sitting and waiting for December to come to see what the doctor's verdict is.

And I know i really have to get my butt in gear and lose weight/change our lifestyle, but it's easier said than done even with my overwhelming want for a baby.
