Anyone else a milk hoarder?

Since DD3 when I vowed to keep my supply as long as possible (DD1 I was only able to nurse to 5 mos ), I've become sort of a milk hoarder. With DD4 who is 4 mos it's even worse since I'm making even more milk. I have about 1000 oz in my freezer and have donated about 900 oz. Yeah, it feels nice to donate and help out but I confess that if I had the freezer space to keep it all I prolly would. I even get upset when I spill a little despite have a ton stocked away. I need to know I'm not the only hoarder out there! Lol

I am too. My supply is not as good this time as last time. I had 2 freezers full and was donating a full daily stash to another mom here.

me but I'm an EP'er right now. Ido nurse DS throughout the day but we're still learning. He's 6 weeks and I have about 600oz frozen, not counting the fresh bottles each day. Breaking up withthe pump is incredibly difficult

I might be called this. I haven't breast fed in 3 years but I still have frozen breast milk in my freezer. It is my security blanket to say that I will have another child again... one day.

Now I have 3 freezers...LOL! We have a kitchenette off our bedroom and then the kitchen freezer downstairs, and the big freezer in the basement. I swear if I had time to pump like before. I would have all 3 filled. I have one with lots in it.

Re: Anyone else a milk hoarder?

I think I am! I have 400 ounces in the freezer (a drop in the bucket compared to you all...) - I'm able to pretty easily keep up with demand so I could probably donate some or cut down on pumping, but DS is my first, and he's not even 6 months yet, and I'm so afraid of my supply tanking and not making it to one year that I'm keeping everything I pump....

This would be me! I have about 400 ounces in the deep freeze but hate to even think about dipping into it! I nurse on demand when we are together and pump when we are apart when he's being cared for by my mom or a sitter. I don't know when exactly I plan on using it but just feel secure with it in the freezer!
