Question How long should i pump?

One person has told me to pump for the average time that the baby nurses.

Another one told me to pump until I don't see anymore drops coming out.

Settle this argument for me?

I say no less than 20 minutes. If you have a double pump, then that should be enough.

ok good, Ive been double pumping 20 minutes and getting about 3 oz (sometimes less and a few time a little more). But I do notice that the milk is still dripping when I stop the pump.

Re: How long should i pump?

With a good double pump you should be good after 20-30 minutes. Pump til empty in order to keep your supply.

Baby may empty breast in as little as 5-10 minutes, as they'll always be more efficient than a pump.
