Which cover for newborns???

I'm trying to figure out what cover to use with prefolds for my LO who will soon be here. I only used cloth with my toddler for about 2 months before she potty trained, and we did prefolds and flip covers. But...I know the flips won't fit a newborn, so what would be some good ideas? My main objective in using cloth is saving money (hence, using only prefolds), so I'd like something relatively inexpensive, like the flips are, but that is effective, obviously. I haven't tried any other diapers except BGE's, so I don't really have experience with much else, it is all new to me. Any suggestions on a good fit, not expensive, and maybe something that I'll get the most use out of? I don't know how realistic that is because newborns are just so tiny, but it would be a plus if something like that does exist!

Blueberries/swaddlebees minis are my favorite. 6-18 lbs so you get your money's worth even though they're not the cheapest. Hate my Thirsties. Have both snap and aplix, but never could get a good fit. Also used Rumparooz newborn. $10 and very good for little bums, but not sure how well they'd work with prefolds. We do fitteds.

I liked Proraps the best w/PFs. Thirsties XS were huge for a long time. The Duos and Capris weren't around when DSwas born but I will be tempted to try Capris (size 1) if we had another baby.

Thirsties Duo Wraps Size 1 are awesome because of the double gussets, plus they really do grow with the baby. my daughter wore hers til she was 3 months or so, maybe a little older.

Re: Which cover for newborns???

I loved my Rumparooz newborn covers. I mostly used them with fitteds but I used snappi'd prefolds too and they worked great.

Thirsties are wonderful (I have xs, though I wish I had size 1 duos). I have some Proraps too, and they work great and are really inexpensive. The NB size is pretty tiny.
