What is the best AIO for a SUPER heavy wetter?

Thinking about switching to AIOs just to make things a little simpler. We have always had leak issues no matter which dipe (pockets) we've used..my 18 month old even soaks through nighttime sposies!! He's not a heavy drinker, but he sure is a heavy wetter lol. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Re: What is the best AIO for a SUPER heavy wetter?

In my limited experience, it seems like AIOs aren't the best choice for a really heavy wetter. To get that much absorbent material in an AIO the dry time would have to be really long.

I've heard that Nana's Bottoms can be customized to be really absorbent and we use BG Freetimes overnight with good success, but DS is only 10 months old and an average wetter. Our normal nighttime diaper is a BG 4.0 stuffed with an organic insert wrapped around a hemp doubler.

Hmm..what about the simplex or thirsties? They can be customized. Anyone know how absorbant grovias are?

I haven't personally tried them, but I've heard great things about the BG freetimes.

I would vote for the Freetimes, you can easily stick a hemp doubler in them as well

I have an extreme wetter. We can do BGE, simplex, and Freetime with a hemp doubler. No to Thirsties and GroVia. AIOs just aren't the best option for a heavy wetter you wind up stuffing and then its essentially just a pocket, but if you don't mind. We use fitteds or prefolds mainly and those work perfectly and I don't worry about leaks.

We have done well w/BGEs, Simplex and Tots Bots Easy Fits. I like the Simplex the best.

If you are going to stuff stuff into an AIO you might as well just use a pocket IMO. We really like organic flip insert in a pocket diaper for nights. Now we can use a few different things but we have had several super soaker phases.

i bought thirsties for the same reason and they are not absorbent at all! i still love them because they are so soft, but they will just be our church nursery diaper. so far, the freetimes are working for us with a hemp doubler under the flats.
