Rinsing

How nasty would it be to rinse a diaper in the sink? Provided I clean the sink after? It would be the kids bathroom sink. Dh thought I could just use the shower head to rinse but that isn't working for me.

I totally dump the solid poop in the toilet but because ds is on an elemental formula it's not always solid. I can't stand just letting the washer rinse it because then I have to wash the washer and the sink is smaller and easier to wash lol

I did it this morning. I do the toilet dunk a lot of the time, though, and try to shake it all out in the toilet water. That's what my mom/grandma told me to do. Then I just wash my hands really well after.

I just keep a bucket in the tub and take down to rinse off in our utility sink in the laundry room. I think the potential to spread germs rinsing off in the sinks my kiddos use would be too high even if cleaning. But then my kiddos love to play in the sink before after and during tooth brushing!

We do not have a utility sink. Dh seems to think that the sprayer in the shower *should* work just fine so he won't install a diaper sprayer

Re: Rinsing

What about using liners, disposable or fleece?

I regularly rinse in my bathtub after dumping in the toilet. It has a removable shower head that I use to spray. I used to use this to spray into the toilet but it was messier than just spraying in the bath. My sis has a toilet sprayer that I will be getting soon though.

I would use the toilet. Dunk, swish, scrub a little.

I dunk and swish too for poo. but I have been know to do an occasional rinse in the sink if dunking and swishing can't get it clean enough. I also rinse nighttime wet diapers in the sink. I just make sure to clean really well around and in the sink afterwards (I used a tiny bit of bleach in a spray bottle filled with water).
