I just got my BFP yesterday. I had just recently joined a gym.. can i still work out? Maybe with just a modified routine or something? Or should I be waiting for my sencond trimester?

Re: Working out when pg?
Not like I represent everyone, but I worked out and did all the same workouts my entire pregnancy except I stopped running once my bladder bailed on me
I switched to eliptical and walking ( ). Still did weights, pushups and the lot.Just do what feels right. I know some ladies are nervous in the 1st tri b/c if anything ever happened then they automatically attribute that to exercise. I guess just listen to your own body

Re: Working out when pg?
Of course "check with your Dr.", but he/she will most likely be THRILLED that you want to have an active pregnancy. My ob recommended at least 30 (preferably 60) minutes of activity daily. I enjoyed walking and swimming the most. I was a jogger, too, but got pg during winter when I don't jog, so I stuck with walking, which felt more comfy to me anyways.
You can definately still lift weights and stuff, too, to stay toned - but go for slightly lower weights with more reps.
