Delete/moving to Ebay

This is a quilt that is entirely hand sewn. Many of the fabrics date from the early 1930's. It has wonderful novelty prints! I'm asking $100 with free shipping to the US.

This quilt is in good condition for it's age. Obviously it is a used item.

Whole quilt

Disclosures: It has a few yo yos that have partially detached. I love to collect vintage craft stuff so I will include some vintage needles and thread to do the repair! It has a few stains and some of the fabrics have fading. You might not notice because many of the prints are still very bright. A few of the yo yo's that are a solid color did however fade. It may just be that they were vegetable dyed fabrics vs commercially dyed fabrics. I have not washed the quilt since it came into my possession. It has a few stains. It could probably use a nice soak in some oxyclean. It has to be hand washed and line dried. I don't know if the stains will come out or not. I am not the original owner and thus I have no idea if it was exposed to animals, smoke, etc. You are purchasing the quilt "as is".
I originally purchased this to cut up for crafting and I don't have the heart to cut it up. It is a really beautiful bedspread! It measures appox 83x70 at the wides points.

Front side.. a detached yoyo

Front side -some staining

This photo shows how the yo yo has faded. You can see on the inside that the color was much brighter at one time. It is a light blue but was once a med blue.

Back side of quilt so you can better see the fabrics used.

close up of back

Another close up

Another detached yo yo.

The 2 green yo-yos have fading

The black orange and white yo-yo has a tear on the back.

If you have any additional questions please let me know.

This is just beautiful! My mom and I made one during my senior year. She gave it to me and I don't have the heart to take it out and use it! I'm so afraid it'll get ruined. Hope yours finds a good home!

If you look at the quilt you'll see that most squares have a matching one. (So there are 2 squares made of the same/similar fabrics) My original plan was to take the matching squares and make yo-yo purses like in the below link (only square purses).
