We will be staying in a hotel room for a few days this weekend for an out of town wedding. I know we will have a small fridge and small microwave. Anybody have some fabulous easy to transport in a cooler and easy to heat/cook in the microwave-type meals (mostly for dinner). I'd take any easy breakfast idea's too, but we can always do cereal, oatmeal, muffins, etc.

Re: Hotel cooking
Can you bring a crock pot? Crock pot meals are super easy in a hotel room and so nice to come "home" to.
-Sandwiches & fresh veggies -Reheated mac-n-cheese, bread & butter, steam bag of frozen veggies -Reheated soup, buns/rolls -Precooked spaghetti noodles & heated spag. sauce -Tacos (reheated meat) & fixings |

Re: Hotel cooking
I had always thought it was impossibile to cook in a hotel room until we traveled to another state for an adoption (whole other story and no baby) I had prepared everything to take along. We had:
Tacos: made the meat and seasoning at home and then FROZE it so it would stay cool in the cooler. Easy to get a head of lettuce, cheese, tortillas and salsa. BBQ/Sloppy Joes: Again made and froze at home. Bought buns there and had a veggie tray. Tuna Casserole: made ahead and just warmed up each serving. Pancakes: make, freeze and warm in micro for just a few seconds. Beef stew: I made and froze. Then let it thaw in the frig. Warmed up each bowl in the microwave. But a slow cooker would easily work for this!

Re: Hotel cooking
Check with your hotel, a lot of them also provide a little coffeemaker in each room. You can use it to heat water for ramen or I have heard of people (soft?) boiling eggs in them.

Re: Hotel cooking
crockpot sounds like a great idea. I would have never thought of that. I wonder if it's against the rules though, and the cleaning people may unplug, report it.
