Re: Will A Doula Be Part Of Your Birth?

My homebirth midwife (ive never had a successful homebirth) will be my doula again. I don't birth without my Joyce. She is a necessity at our births. Sadly I will not be having a homebirth like I wanted but she still will be there!

My Homebirth midwife offered her doula services. So if my husband doesn't feel comfortable standing up to the doctors then I will use Jen!

Yes, my SIL is a doula and she really wants to attend the birth. I'm excited, she will be my first doula .

Re: Will A Doula Be Part Of Your Birth?

no, last time around i had a woman my husband worked with offer (she was a student and said she needed experience) to do it for free. but i didn't know her and was pretty convinced i just wanted DH and i in the room for the birth. it was all very weird for me. and if i hired a professional one it would be over a grand, and for something i'm not super comfortable with that's too much $$.
