Ants! Natural Ways to Rid/Bite Treatment?

try using Aloe Vera gel on her bites. Aloe Vera helps to sooth skin and with redness. I have heard that tea tree oil may help with bites too so you can look into that as well.

tea tree oil and peppermint oil will work wonders. use the TTO directly on the bites, it should relieve the pain and disinfect. Dilute the peppermint oil with water and spray it on your daughters sheets and on the crib. it should keep the bugs away.

My MIL swears by a paste of baking soda. When her daughter was a toddler she sat in an ant pile. Texas fire ants... Nasty!!! Luckily MIL saw and swooped her up but she still got a few bites. Baking soda paste on each bite and she never swelled up or got pus blisters.

We had good luck keeping ants out of the house by sprinkling salt and ground coffee around the perimeter of the house outside. You may have to reapply after it rains. This, of course, only works if the ants are entering from outside, not living in your walls or something. You can also pour boiling water down the ant hills. This has to be done multiple times to be fully effective.

Plantain salve works well on bug bites, it's pretty easy to make. First infuse olive oil with dried plantain (I can get it in the bulk herb section of the health food store, but it's also a weed that you can collect yourself in the summer) by putting the herb in a jar and covering with olive oil (about twice as much oil by volume to dried herb, equal amounts if using fresh), cover and place in a saucepan of water gently heated on the stove top for 20-30 minutes. Strain out and discard the herb. You can use the oil straight up on the bites or mix with some beeswax to make a salve. Good luck. I hope you figure out the source of the problem so you can fix it.

I use peppermint oil in a spray bottle with water spray along all base boards windows thresholds.... smells great and ants hate it

They won't cross a chalk line...so if you have any side walk chalk it will work. Just trace around the window or door where they are coming in. Just keep in mind if you do this in front of little kids they will want to color the walls with you lol!
