Re: Basically it's TGIFriday!

I saw a thing in a magazine, or pinterest or somewhere that was a built in bench seat, so there would still be some storage.

LOL @ Jen and the groomer.

Bethann, I can personally attest having an area dedicated to reading away from the TV, with comfortable seating and easy access to books, has increased my kids' reading probably tenfold. The girls have always been avid readers, but now finally Ian is. And they actually prefer to go read than use the computer/TV/Wii most of the time. If you can't do a bench for books, a bookcase and a bean bag would work too. That's what my sister and I had in the space under the stairs growing up.

Re: Basically it's TGIFriday!

So I have washed all the kids sheets, their towels, and am in the process of washing each of their comforters. I've unloaded and reloaded the DW, and it's on standby to be turned on after the parade of laundry. I've picked up the main areas of the house.

My main stumbling block is the floors. I hate sweeping and mopping. This house is all hard floors except the basement. I bought a new damp mop for the hardwoods but it's still in the wrapper. And to be totally honest the kitchen needs to be swept and mopped every day, but I don't do it. Ugh. I can keep up with everything else but that I just don't wanna do.

Ugh Jen. That sucks.

Trying to decide should I crock the split chicken boobs now or tomorrow. Gonna ake King Ranch chicken tomorrow for dinner, so I need the cooked chicken before. But IDK that I can time it right to be cooked and/or cooled in sync with our mac and cheese outing tonight. Eh, maybe I will cook on "warm" until bedtime.

Re: Basically it's TGIFriday!

Next week is red ribbon week, say no to drugs
Monday: wear red
Tuesday: Cowboy gear
Wednesday: sweats!
Thursday: crazy hair
Friday: shades

Pretty easy ones. Our counselor is relatively new to the are and got himself in a bit of trouble with the Navajo staff yesterday, he had a wear clothes inside out and wear clothes backwards day original and it is cultural taboo to do that so yep we wont be having those day. Replace with the Cowboy and crazy hair. Opps...
