Fashion must haves

So I'm starting to grow up :gasp: being as I'm 26 now and trying to be sexy, grown up and demure what are your must haves? Do you value quantity over quality or vice versa?

The right underwear and a great fitting bra are crucial! No matter how great your outfit is, it will be spoiled if the girls are sagging or your panty lines can be seen from a mile away.

I love cute accessories... Think a couple of scarves, cute boots, and a good bag can really make an outfit!

I'm big on quality over quantity and also having pieces that go with lots of other pieces. My must haves are black leggings to go with tall boots, great fitting jeans, and shape wear to go under clothe that fit more snugly.

I'm also big on having a signature. Mine is dangly earrings. I wear funky dangly earrings every single day even if I'm dressed down.

Like a pp said, you can get by with fewer, nice quality clothes if you have great accessories. I wear a basic black peacoat in winter but wear different scarves and colorful leather gloves. Belts, jewelry, etc can stretch your wardrobe and scarves to me are a must have too.

I say quality.

Diamond studs
A great hand bag
A pea coat (red is a great if you like/want color), Boots (knee high, tall or booties; they all look great!). Hunter rain boots are great when it's wet. Maybe even Uggs.
Scarves for color. Infinity scarves are awesome
Simple tees. Short or long sleeves tees... Plain, striped, etc. Boat neck tees really make the look. Layering is a great option too!

It's my winning combination.

My must haves: a good fitting bra with matching underwear (bonus points if it's sexy), a well fitting pair of jeans (boot cut in my case), quality shoes (dressy and casual), a black pea coat, a nice cardigan, and a quality leather purse.

I have quite a shoe addiction, but I only buy nicer quality shoes now, and repair them as they get worn down.

Re: Fashion must haves

Quality over quantity for sure. I remember in high school when I got my first job and bought as much cheap crap as I could because I thought it was *shameful* to wear the same garment twice in one week even though it had been washed. It's difficult for me to get out of that mindset!

I'm trying to edit my wardrobe. My must have criteria are:

1. Natural fibres
2. Unusual (in cut, embellishment, colour or something) *or* so classic that it makes the cooler stuff stand out more
3. Fits perfectly and I don't have to lose weight to look good in it, because these last ten pounds are here to stay.
