Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

I'm 15 weeks and have not felt the baby. I'm nervous, but I know it might just be early. This is my 5th baby and I have a little, ahem, belly fat, so maybe I just can't feel it because of that. When did you first feel movement if this is not your first baby? TY!

I have had 7 babies. I have always been fairly thin (super thin with the first 5) and have never once felt a baby prior to 17 weeks.

Normal range is 17-22 weeks. I woulnt worry.

Re: Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

I felt baby very early 13-14 weeks with my first 4. It got later and later and by #8 I didn't feel him until week 20. This little guy was 18 weeks. If your placenta is in the front you won't feel baby as soon.

I feel my baby randomly.. but it's not something I can predict. I just go 'oh! that felt like baby!'. I'm 15 weeks now.

My friend who is 20 weeks tomorrow has felt nothing so far. Perfectly normal.

second pregnancy for both of us.

Re: Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

I felt my third baby at 12 weeks. The rest of them have been between 15 and 20 weeks, most of the time. I'm a little over 11 weeks now and I keep THINKING I've felt baby, but I think it's just wishful thinking, lol. I can't say I've FOR SURE felt anything except gas yet.

Re: Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

I've felt babies move later and later each time lol! 1st was 17 weeks, 2nd 18 weeks, and this one was 19 weeks. I would say you are perfectly fine! I would also second a PP comment that if your placenta is more towards the front, you won't feel him/her move as soon - that's where I was at with #3

Re: Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

First was at 18 weeks, second at 13 weeks, and this time it was super early at 9 weeks (it was for certain baby too, I couldn't believe it!). Surprisingly enough placenta is in front this time too

Re: Feeling fetal movement for the first time?

I might have felt some movement around 15 weeks with #3 and above. More so around 18ish week though!

I seriously didn't start feeling my 3rd until 20+ weeks, probably closer to 22. The first two I felt MUCH earlier. I was freaking out. But now even at 37weeks it's like a soccer player!
