Free stuff in the mail?

Can someone tell me how to get free samples/stuff in the mail? Any tips or websites would be much appriciated. Are there any pros or cons to getting them for free?

Re: Free stuff in the mail?

I have found some good stuff at the freebies part of hotcouponworld. Lately they have mostly been listing free kindle books, but they do get some good free mailbox stuff there too. http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/freebies/

Re: Free stuff in the mail?

This website is the website I use for all of my coupons and deals. She does AMAZING work, and the stuff on there is amazing. She usually has at least 1-2 free samples listed per day.

www.hip2save.com

You can also go to www.allyou.com, and they have a "Daily Freebie" where you can see what is free for the day.

The upside to free samples, is you never know what you will get! One tampon freebie was just a coupon, the other was a soft pink clutch with zipper, that had 3 pad samples, 1 liner, and 3 tampon samples! It was like winning the lottery of free samples! P&G also does good samples, with free diapers, Zantac, toothpaste, mouthwash samples. I have also received HUGE coffee samples (like 8-12 oz. bags!), travel size mouthwash, toothpaste, good size lotions and face wash, and lots more.

The downside is they have your information. For most free samples you have to answer questions about your household. Some just want address, birthdate (I do my month, pick a date - like the 1st, and then do hubby's year, to mix it up), and email. Sometimes they want more. To me, I don't mind giving it, because it's already out there anyways with all the technology we have today. The free samples are awesome. I got enough free coffee samples and instant coffee packs to stuff coffee cups for Christmas. I also received a ton of shpoo/cond, toothpaste, makeup samples to stuff some $1 makeup bags from the dollar store to make nice gifts. Everyone LOVES samples as gifts!!

Re: Free stuff in the mail?

OH, I also forgot to add... check the www.hip2save.com website under "Freebies". I get ALL of my cards for birthdays, holidays, and other stuff for free! They have free greeting cards from 1-2 websites every other month or so. I start early, look ahead, and pick out birthday or holiday cards that I will need for later. DH loves cards (UGH) and last year we bought about 15 of them, all at $3-4 each (I about died). This year, he only had to be 2, and even then, it was just because he was stubborn, as I could have used ones I had.

Re: Free stuff in the mail?

moneysavingmom.com also posts freebies. Her following is huge, though, so sometimes they go quickly.
