I need Food Budget Help!
We deal with multiple crazy allergies in my house and our budget is out of hand! $250 a week is what we were spending and it really needs to be under $125. I must cut this in half! It got out of hand when we discovered the baby's allergies. She and I are on a very strict diet that is gluten, wheat, oats, corn, apple, white rice, soy, milk, pesticide free. She still can't handle most fruits and veggies. The budget went crazy because I'm cooking 2 meals constantly so that the kids can have there "normal" less expensive food. We are a milk free peanut free home as well. So all the quick cheap meals like mac and cheese are a no go. HELP!

Re: I need Food Budget Help!
Poor mama!!!! Have you looked into the Paleo diet? It's no grain/legumes and no processed foods, it might be something you can tweak to work for you guys! These blogs are amazing for kid friendly recipes:
www.paleoparents.com www.everydaypaleo.com ETA: and pretty cost conscious, too!!!

Re: I need Food Budget Help!
Can you dig out your last receipt and type in what you are buying? Maybe we can help you find the food for less elsewhere.
