BBLP vs BBSP or other? Help Pls.

Hello! I bought an ikea potty and a BBPC (used) for my son. He's now 5 months. My problem is he isn't comfortable on them. They are just way to tall. I thught he would like the BBPC better than the ikea one because of the back but he doesn't like the plastic or having his feet dangling. I really want a BBLP but just don't think I can send the $60 on the EC store for one. Anyone have an alternative potty they like that is comparable to the BBLP? Or wnat to sell me a BBLP?

I found the bebe stages one on diapers.com Anyone use it?

Thank you!

I haven't seen any on there yet in my area. Only the chair version. Still keeping my eye out though.

Just got one from CL also. Definitely don't spend the $60 to buy the one from the EC Store! I thought that was a total rip-off! What about the Baby bjorn smart potty? It's a little bit higher than the BBLP but does not have the high back like the BBPC.

The BBSP is taller than the BBLP and taller than the IKEA potty as well.

I suggest you have a look at dollar stores and pharmacies in your area - you might find a similar single piece moulded plastic potty there. Alternatively you could find one at Good Will or similar if you are happy to use second hand.

Re: BBLP vs BBSP or other? Help Pls.

I had heard good things about the size of both the Bebe Jou potty (hard to find, but I got REALLY lucky and found it at a big yard sale) and the Becopotty, which is easier to find:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20

My babe is arriving in March, so I can't give a first-hand testimonial about whether either is *really* the right size, but they seem a lot smaller than the others I've seen (like the BBSP).

I also almost won a BBLP on eBay, but passed (didn't increase my bid), since I already had the other two. Those who "don't know what they have" aren't charging a ton and you can probably win one for under $20 including shipping, assuming you don't mind used-- maybe $25 or $30 at most. You can see if you search completed listings that almost all go for under $30 including US shipping. Search for Baby Bjorn Potty (maybe without the Little) and just visually scan for the BBLP, since not everyone knows the full formal name.

ETA: Right now, there's only one up for auction, and it's more like $35 so far (including shipping), but if you check back daily or weekly, you'll surely find one cheaper.

I hope that helps!
