I was sort of wondering the same thing. The flip organic prefold is so soft & trim & super absorbent. I have doubts that this flat would improve on that. I could see people liking it for little ones though. The organics doesn't seem to fit into a flip cover until the middle rise.

Is there something special about the flip organic inserts? Are the better than a prefold? If so how? Are they knit or woven fabric? sorry just never seen//felt one in person and want to know why theyre so wonderful! Haha

Re: Flip is coming out with a new daytime insert!

they're knit and very soft. trimmer and more absorbent than a traditional prefold. I was thinking that this insert might be nice to pin in diaper bag fold for a newborn. otherwise it will only be 6-8 layers, which is just not that much jersey.

Thanks for bumping! This looks really cool to me! Not sure I will make it my entire flats stash at the price, though- but a few would be cool! I think 6-8 layers of jersey should still be quite absorbent; after all, the organic Flip insert (prefold) is 6 layers, right? And it's very absorbent.

I believe the flip organic prefold is 12 layers when folded in thirds.

I think it is 12 layers. I know it's more than 6.
