Seven slings are SO CUTE and SO uncomfortable! A pouch sling is never going to be as nice as a padded ring sling, but Seven is still horrible. I got one free for shipping (they're always having that promotion) and it absolutely wasn't worth it. I have a hotsling (also a pouch) I keep in the bottom of my diaper bag for "emergencies" and it is a million times more comfortable. There's no comparison with an Ergo. I can easily carry my friends 5 year old in an Ergo, and my 10 month old who is small for his age would kill me in the Seven after 2 minutes. If you want a sling, I highly recommend a Maya Wrap, and if you want a pouch for quick grocery store trips I'd look for a padded Hotsling on Craigslist.
