Re: Diaper organization and diaper stackers- do they work with cloth?

I am planning to switch to a 3 drawer plastic nightstand type thing for diapers since we are always on the floor and it makes NO SENSE for the diapers to be on the shelf in the closet anymore! Also I have downsized my stash so I should be able to fit what I need in there.[/QUOTE]

That's exactly what I was going to try! I was planning on emptying one of my craft stuff today

Re: Diaper organization and diaper stackers- do they work with cloth?

Right now, the changer is across the room from the closet, so a hanging organizer or even plastic drawers that could be tucked into the closet aren't an option. I do have a place that I could hang a diaper stacker, so I think I'm going to give it a try. They are actually pretty cheap so I guess if it doesn't work I won't be out much and could always use it for something else! Thanks for all your advice!

I really like baskets or boxes made for CDs. They're exactly the right size and can be used in so many ways. There are always cute ones on clearance at Target, too!

CD baskets are a good idea- I might be able to put them on the shelf I'm currently using but could at least pull them out in an organized way!

Re: Diaper organization and diaper stackers- do they work with cloth?

I had a diaper stacker. I hated it. I don't think I would have used it even with sposies.

How big is your closet? We have often had to share 1 dresser. It was my husband and me using one dresser when we married. On top of that the bottom drawer had to hold some of our kitchen supplies. We had a 1 room efficency apt. One room, not one bedroom. To make room in drawers anything that could get hung up did. That included pjs and nightgowns. So 2 drawers for my husband, 2 drawers for me, and 1 drawer held baking dishes. If you could hang up the majority of your kids clothes then use one drawer for each child and one for diapers this would save room and money buying stuff except for hangars.

Out of season clothes got shoved to the back of the closet.

You could always look into a hanging organizer for the closet, made for like shoes I believe? They have a few shelves on them and they hang on the bar in the closet.
