Re: HSing budget?
Hmm...I'm not even sure what I spent this year...
![]() Homeschool co-op: $150 Books for co-op: $70 Tapestry of Grace year 2 classic used: $45 Supplemental History books for TOG2: $40 MUS Alpha: $35 MUS Delta: $35 LOF Fractions and Decimals & Percents: $30 Library book sales for Literature stuff: $50 Scholastic $1 deal books: $30 Miscellaneous books we've bought and won't likely use but I haven't resold as of yet: $60 Total: $545 Ouch. So, in my defense here...I am planning on using MANY items from above again next year OR finding a free alternative. For example, we will use the free and awesome KISS Grammar next year. I already have MUS Beta (just need a test book) that I was gifted by someone at my co-op. I have LOTS of History books including all the SOTW series and almost all the History of US series so will use that rather than buying TOG3 (as much as I loved it, I think we can do the same for less honestly). We will use a free spelling list I found online next year. I've still got a whole ton of lit books we can't get to this year to use next year. I'll have to buy MUS Epsilon and Pre-Algebra next year, but hope to get it used...yeah, I want to do a cheap year next year!

Re: HSing budget?
We reserve a certain amount for fun activities which includes "field trips". For that roughly 200 a month but we have some great free museums that my kids love.
For classes or activities like horseback riding, art classes or other things that cost we reserve 100-200 per child. However we find in out community of homeschoolers there are also a lot of free activities for my kids to participate in. I'm in Austin btw.
