Phentermine and pregnancy

Hey mamas I just found out that I am pregnant with #2 and I have been on phentermine for 2-3 weeks I'm really nervous now

I looked it up and it says to call your doctor as soon as you know that you are pregnant. I'm guessing that you're not supposed to be TTC while taking it. It's probably good that you haven't been taking it for a long time, though.

Apparently animal reproduction studies have NOT been done for this drug. To me, this is a BIG red flag. Why would they not do them?? Why would they even prescribe it to women who could become pregnant if they don't know the risks?

I honestly wasn't trying anymore, we had a condom break on us and it just happened

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that you were. It just seems to me that with a drug that hasn't even been tested on babies, that doctors would be very careful prescribing it to women who might become pregnant.
