This baby I made them check for about 20 min. to make sure there was only ONE!
Same experience for my cousin. Went in for an amino at 20 ish weeks because of really "off" bloodwork. Before starting the amino, they put the u/s on her and said "huh, we'll this could be why everything is off..." Then went to explain one baby was smaller than the other and basically hid behind big brother during their normal ultrasound.

That's what mine did, the smaller one hide behind the bigger one. They are easier to spot if they hang out side by side.

I won't feed the insanity either, had the gender DNA testing at 12 weeks plus like 30 u/s during my high risk pg and they all showed a beautiful girl

Re: Were they wrong with us about the gender or # of babies?

AAAH! Ultrasound is on Monday and my husband is caving. If I knew they were always right I would give in for him. I'm just so afraid they are going to say boy and he will be so disappointed come delivery day if they were wrong.

Anyone know any statistics on how often they are wrong, or what makes it more or less likely they are?

Oh boy that would turn us upside down! We were told girl and if we end up with a boy then that poor little guy will have all girly hand-me-downs!

Um, if they get a clear penis shot at 20 weeks-- it ain't going anywhere. The discrepancies are not when they have clear undeniable shots. There is no way my sons penis and balls could turn into a vagina. He was playing with the dang thing and it was floating around. Lol. It's not a guess for us, lol. This time around we had all generic testing available, as well, so we KNOW it's a boy

LOL This was ds211! I had no idea what I was looking for with ds1 but when they pointed it out it was undeniable. Ds2 gave us a shot every single time! I found it immediately on an early scan but they wouldn't tell me bc it was to early but it was extremely evident. Oh and he was playing with it EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!!!

Re: Were they wrong with us about the gender or # of babies?

I think the discrepancies come more when they say "girl" just because they don't see a penis. My girls were all very clear girls. You could see their girl parts clearly. My nephews were very obviously boys, like pp said you could see all of their little boy bits on the u/s.
