My Mood:
Dear Hubby you can wake the baby when....

...she'll let you put her down to sleep. In the mean time, don't sabotage my evening.

At 9:40pm, as I was trying to put DD to sleep, DH comes home from a quick work meeting. (Mind you, DH said good night after having dinner with us, so it wasn't like he hadn't seen DD all day.) DD had just barely fallen asleep and DH comes in to snuggle and whisper in her ear and wake her up so he can say goodnight. Arrrrgh! All the while, I'm waving him off so he won't wake her up. I had spent over an hour trying to get that girl in bed. After she's fully awake, he says, "Goodnight!" walks out and closes the bedroom door. I got to spend another 20 mintues putting her back down.

DH got a tongue lashing and there was no nookie last night.

Vent over.

Oh that stinks! I would try my hardest to be grateful that he's the kind of Dad that wants to love on his baby but yeah...that'd be hard to not get upset over.

I get upset when anyone wakes up DD. It's hard not to when they have a hard time going to sleep in the first place. Sorry mama.

DD always has a hard time going to sleep when she's teething. It's the 2 year molars and I swear glaciers can move faster than these teeth. She only falls asleep after the ibuprofen kicks in.

I would like to add:

PS. Please do not come home 20 mins before bedtime and start flipping DD over your shoulders onto the couch while playing ska music. I understand that it's fun, but please understand that it's NOT fun getting DD to sleep immediately afterward!

I am glad we have loving DH/Daddies, but save it for 6am. Then she's all yours ;-)

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm not denying our DH/Daddies love their lil' ones. There's just a time a place for everything.

I don't know, there's something sweet about it. I would have been a bit frustrated with DH but not a tongue lashing for him wanting to love on his LO.

Perhaps it's a sweet thing to do at 8pm, but not at 10pm when I still needed to make DD's lunch, clean up the kitchen post-dinner mess, fold some laundry, take a shower, get to bed by 11pm, and get up at 5:45am.

Dh is not able to put DD to sleep, nor does he make DD's lunch. He certainly doesn't do laundry. I'd have to nag him to clean the kitchen. I basically told him he was not playing well on Team Parent. He's not to make my life harder and give me more work. I certainly don't make his life harder.
