Delightful Reading

Anyone use this? How do you like it? I need a reading curriculum for my ADHD 6 year old just learning to read. We have just finished up learning letters & sounds.

Re: Delightful Reading

I have not used it myself yet, but I'm also considering it. I have some of their other materials and really like them. I think it is a great approach and am just waiting to have room for it in the budget. The reviews I've read about it have all been pretty positive and I believe they won an award for it among the homeschool community.

Re: Delightful Reading

I haven't used it or seen it. Looking at that link though, I question how much of a phonics approach they use. It mentions sight words, and does say something about word building, but does it teach the phonics rules?

We used Sing, Spell, Read, and Write (level one because she already knew letters and basic phonics sounds) for our ADHD child (and the others) and it worked wonderfully.

Thanks, I'll check that out too.
