My Mood:
suedecloth or microfleece?

So I'm thinking about making my own stay dry soakers to lay in my covers and I saw that someone in FSOT has a bunch of suedecloth and microfleece for sale. I think I would prefer to use the microfleece just for how soft it feels but the whole reason I want to make my own is to save money and the suedcloth is much cheaper. The practical side of me is telling me to get the suedecloth but I'm just wondering would it work as well for topping a soaker as it does for lining a pocket? Has anyone ever made stay dry soakers with suedecloth?

Re: suedecloth or microfleece?

The suedecloth should work as well as the microfleece, but I personally hate suedecloth. I don't know why, but it ALWAYS repels no matter how I wash it. I don't have this problem with microfleece and obviously prefer it for that reason. If suedecloth works for you it IS a much cheaper stay dry topper for a soaker.

Re: suedecloth or microfleece?

I like suede cloth!
I've never had an issue with it!
Some of my suede cloth is soft!
Not as fluffy as microfleece but soft nonetheless!!
I think it will work well on a insert.
My thing about suede cloth is it doesn't pill, microfleece, can bead up and wear out too fast for my taste!!

Thats just my opinion though.
I personally prefer suede cloth, athletic wicking, or microchamois!
For stay dry!
