Re: Plaleo/Primal Chat October, November & December

Thanks ladies for your help and thoughts <3 I feel stuck.

It appears that I have an aversion to food in general. Everything I eat is making me feel like crap. I *can* eat meat and veggies, but smelling them cooking makes me heave. Even the chocolate (and the smell of it) makes my stomach roll. I am not sure about eggs. I haven't tried eating them because I feel sick thinking about it.

I have been eating cauliflower and broccoli with a little bit of litehouse caesar dressing-- totally not paleo, but a better choice than a box of truffles or half of a pizza. Last night I managed to eat a couple links of really good sausage from the co-op because DH cooked them while I was out and then aired the house for me.

I am allergic to dairy. I don't get hives or anything, but I get sick and it is worse when my hormones are angry-- like around AF and when I am pregnant. I can stomach the taste, but the aftermath is really not fun. I keep eating it because I am hungry and it is one of the only things that appeals to me right now.

So far today, I've had a cup of TJ's candy cane green tea with a little sugar, some sweet potato chips and a string cheese. I will probably eat a couple clementines and some pineapple in a bit. Basically, *some* carbs are appealing. I've already gained 5lb in the past week-- and I don't know if it is inflammation, sugar or water retention, but starting out overweight (though way less than I was the last two times) has me paranoid about my weight =/

I am going to go do some pushups and planks soon. Maybe I'll feel better? I haven't actually worked out since I went to my parents' house last month when my mom was sick. I'm probably back to square one.

I might try smoothies this weekend. My blender doesn't do greens though (it basically chops them into bits instead of blending), so I only do fruit/almond milk. I am trying to talk DH into a ninja blender even though this one is relatively new .

My MW suggested B6, so I might try that. I am going to costco for my folic acid and gummy vitamins tomorrow (the iron in prenatal vitamins make me totally sick) so I will see if they carry B6 too. If I could get the morning sickness under control, I think I could handle it.

I wound up eating a Chipotle salad for dinner... which totally hit the spot, but I've felt awful ever since I ate it and I am baking a potato as we speak. It'll get some olive oil, salt and pepper.

I'm in too just starting a few weeks ago and I'm trying to cut out stuff a little at a tone. Dairy was the first to go and I've already felt better and my 3 month old is less gassy too I've done some cheese here and there but I've found that I love love love almond milk. Mmmmmmmm yummy. Next I'm going to cut the grains...... Sugar will be the hardest I've had 3 big glasses of coke tonight and a can of Cola earlier ugh....... :-/

I've been living on baked potatoes with butter and bacon today. I've had two. I went out and bought my b6 and some chewable vitamins, so hopefully that will help. I feel so bad. DH made this really great looking chicken veggie soup for lunch and I couldn't eat it =/ and then he made hamburgers and sweet potato fries for dinner. I ate a few fries, but I couldn't stomach anything else.

I am craving 7up, but I know it would be way too sweet. I am thinking about buying a Hanson's lemon lime or mandarin orange soda and cutting it in half with soda water. I feel like the bubbly might help.

You could always try mixing freshly squeezed orange juice with soda water. Bubbly and sweet but healthier and you can adjust the ratio of juice to water to make it as sweet as you want.

When you do your smoothies with greens do you blend the greens with the water or juice and then add everything else? I had a pos blender but when I tried green smoothies like that, it worked.

I blend my spinach and almond milk first, then add my other fruit and things. But, my blender is also pretty basic so I need to do it that way so the spinach blends fully.
