Re: Baby Clothes, what brands are you using and why

We have a very relaxed approach to our fella's wardrobe. Comfort is key.
99% of his clothes are cotton.

Pants - Boden reversible baggies or cotton drawstring pants by naturebaby.com
T-shirts - Gap graphic tees or Fruit of the Loom basic crew necks
Sweatshirts - American Apparel
Sleepers - Pekkle (costco brand)

We are minimalists, so we like to keep things simple. He is on his second pair of Padraig booties. He wears keens in spring/summer and baby bog boots now in the fall/winter.

If we're using a onesie I like Carter's best, they're more generous in their sizes and thicker than the gerber onesies that haven't lasted from my older DD to this baby.

Old Navy, Gap, and Carter's has nice fleece pants that we like and they're cut nicely and fit over her diapers.

My DD is almost 5 months old so right now we still use the sleep sacks with long sleeves from Carter's but I don't think they'll fit too much longer so I'll either have to find a new larger long sleeved brand or just switch to fleece sleepers for winter which we use occasionally now too.

We've honestly been buying whatever is cheapest/most useful. Lots of carter (the target line). We go for soft and comfortable but don't want to spend a ton of money since she grows so fast!

We mostly have Carter's and Osh Kosh as we've found they fit him quite nicely, and both stores are close by (and are sister stores). But others have given us lots of other brands that fit as well.

I tend to buy what I like. We have a Carter's close and they do have good sales and coupons, so we have a good bit from there for baby to be. DS gets a good bit from Children's Place because I love the way their jeans fit him and the shirts are good quality. I also shop at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington, etc. a good bit.

I prefer Gymboree because the quality is great, but it's expensive. I would say 1/2 of my son's clothes are Carters/anything from Target and the other half is a combo if Gap, Gymboree, Old Navy and Crazy 8. I do not like The Children's Place.

Now that it's cold, my son wears either sweat pants or Jeans, a white t-shirt and a zip up hooded sweatshirt these days.

I have no trouble finding clothes that fit well over cloth at all. Even the slim cut Jeans at Gymboree fit great over his cloth.

Most of Nathan's clothes are from Old Navy, the Gap or Carters. We have a Gap & Carters outlet nearby. I love Zutano clothes but they are a bit pricey.
