honey face washers....where you at?!

I know there are some mamas here who clean their face with honey.

My face has been a mess, oily, dehydrated, uneven in texture.
I was using Desert Essence cut with water and even more olive oil added in. I think it was still too strong.

So I am going to wash my face for two weeks with honey and see how it goes. http://www.crunchybetty.com/honey-challenge
It's day 3 and I think my picked-at pimples are healing already.

My new routine is morning and night I wash with honey and follow with a mild ACV toner.
To remove my makeup and sweat after working out, I use olive oil/witch hazel (50/50 mix) and then rinse with water. Once my face heals a little, I'll exfoliate once a week and use a clay mask once a week.
Thats it. So far, so good.

So....who else washes with honey? Please share your success story.

Both my husbands and myself love honey face wash. We've been using it for 3 years or so.

Would you mind sharing how you use the AVC, witch hazel and EVOO?

Re: honey face washers....where you at?!

I use honey here & occasionally use a mud mask.

I use unpasturized organic honey & wash twice a day, then use EVCO as a cream. My acne has completely gone as well as my rosacea, which was terrible. I find that if I slack on washing w/the honey then I notice the dryness comes back slowly. When I wash I also make it a thick paste & I let it sit for five minutes, sometimes more, while I soak in the tub. This really seems to help a lot more than a quick wash & rinse.

How do you wash off the honey? I have a friend who also has rosacea, and hasn't found a good remedy.

Re: honey face washers....where you at?!

I wash my face with a honey/Celtic salt scrub in the shower. Twice a day I use a salt and acv toner and moisturizer with pure shae butter. My acne is completely gone!
