Re: honey face washers....where you at?!

I'm interested -- what is ACV? I do love EVCO as a moisturizer

ACV=apple cider vinegar. the vinegar is acidic and will help regulate the pH balance in your skin so you won't overproduce oil and all that jazz. I find it hella drying so I have to cut mine alot. I do maybe 1/4 tsp per ounce of water. and even that may be too strong but I'm experimenting. I just use water, but you can use green tea, aloe juice, witch hazel. down side-anything natural will not last long and you will need to make a new batch just about every week

It's been about a week and a half for me and it's going great! I do have some sores because last weekend I ate very bad and it always shows on my skin. But other than that, my face looks awesome actually. I was looking in the mirror today and noticed that my skin looks more even-toned. Before, it was more textured and dehydrated looking. Kind of bumpy because I am in desperate need of hydration all the time. but now it's more even and more plump. awesome

Re: honey face washers....where you at?!

I did it last night for the first time. I did not use ACV toner just because I was lazy. I left the honey on for 5 mins. After rinsing I used a mix of olive/grapeseed/avocado oils that I use on the kids to moisturize. I use that occasionally, but usually only use it on the kids. DD is allergic to coconut so we don't use coconut anything in our house. My skin was very matte and glowy looking after- really liked that. Hope it does well. Recently my skin started looking rough so I am hoping this will work well.

Question though- I know the toner is needed if you use a cleansing agent like baking soda with the honey, but is it needed if you use only the honey and then some oil? Or could you do honey, acv toner and only oil on occasion? I don't use toner normally and I never have.

ETA: I have combo to dry skin. I don't have an acne problem, but do have large pores. My skin is super, super, super sensitive. Lately its just looking blah.

I never used toner because it just dried me out or irritated me. Ni matter what i tried.
I dont think you need a toner. I switched to oatmeal water instead of acv because its soothing. No balancing of the Ph there. I mostly use a toner to make sure i got all the honey off so it doesnt stay sticky ot clog my pores. If you rinse well, i don't see why you need a toner
