hard water lime deposits?

What do you use for hard water lime deposits (toliet and tub). I have scrubbed and scrubbed and I hate to turn to a chemical cleaner if I don't have to.

We have crazy hard water here, esp in the toilet - it builds up in the pipes. Best cleaning method I've found is vigegar - I try to get as much water out of the toilet as I can, then I pour in usually a big bottle of vinegar and let is sit overnight, then scrape out the hard deposits - this I do occasionally, but regular cleanings you can just use a little bit of vinegar, let it sit then scrub and rinse.

I have rock hard well water and I unfortunately have to use chemical cleaners to clean the toilets. I try to only do it about once a month and just use the toilet brush several times a week to try and keep things loose and clean and use vinegar for regular cleanings. But, if I want a white bowl, I have to use a chemical.

I use a Pumie scouring stick on our toilet with excellent results. I have found them locally at Lowes, but I'm pretty sure you can find them on Amazon.
