I bought these things for my "snap challenged" people to use...but dang they were taking FOREVER to get dry, and even after 2 cycles they were still damp in the "pocket" behind the soaker.
So..... I cut one side of the soaker away from the diaper...now it is like a "book" flap and it is sooo awesome!!! Once I get all my BGE "quick dry" I can probably do just one cycle for all my diapers! This is a size 2 and on the middle rise setting Here is how it looks just laying there - with all that elastic no worries about the "soaker" popping out anywhere, it still stays put. ![]() See...like a flap (but on the side) ![]() And all the way "open"

wonderful idea!!! I was thinking of doing that to my BGE but too afraid I'll ruin it!

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
humm so just like sissors cut and that is it?
I reverse mine before putting them into the dryer and they dry in a single cycle that way but I still like the idea of the soaker being better exposed.. No issues with washing ect.. I'm intrigued...

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
that would make it pretty easy to slide a doubler into too, if you're into diapers for function and not resale, I say: why not?!

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
Yep! just cut it (it was actually a thin layer of fleece) ... makes putting the doubler in there super easy (I use a SBISH) .... I was slightly concerned about resale but figured I got them super cheap (on sale and a free diaper through KC - so came out to like $10 each) even if I HAVE to sell them soon I can still put them even cheaper and be ok...but really I got these for easy use diapers so I don't have to "love" them to keep them.

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
I was reversing them too - but I usually forget until I went to go get them out of the dryer and then I had to wait until they weren't warm before I stretched on them to reverse them. I think this will help them get really good and clean too.

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
Very nice.
I always just turned them inside out before putting into the diaper pail. Never had any issues.

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
Well I tested it on two that aren't my "best" anyways (the Pul is a little iffy on them but I got them cheep as a FSOT so ehh...Anyways they I cut them totally works plus yes soo much easier to add a doubler which I now need for my toddler. I ran them throug ha no detergent heavy duty quick wash jsut to see how they'd hold up.. Went through perfectly I LOVE this I could care less about resale this will make my life soo much easier beacuse I like how both sides will be fully exposed to detergent and water I'd been reversing and rewashing to get the microfiber fully cleaning and rinsed.

Re: I made my thirsties AIO "quick dry" PICS!
YAY! I really like that they can get all washed on all sides too. I have been using all natural fibers recently and wasn't used to microfiber and I was afraid my wash routine was going to need a change - but I think we will be just fine with them like this now.
