What shoes does your 3 yo son wear

If you have a child who is constantly outside, riding his (balance) bike, or razor scooter, using his toes to stop, or playing on the ground, or in the dirt or who goes to the mountians...basicly a boy being a boy who is very hard on his shoes...what do you buy him?

Every time I turn around there are holes in the toes of his shoes. My requirments are something not too heavy, somewhat easy to put on, prefer velcro that he can do by himslef. And I am a visual person so links are always welcomed.

Thank you!

I just bought DS shoes from Kohls (jumpin bean) this summer. Then bought him a pair of sneakers for the fall.
They have heavy duty soles then come up around the toe but are still flexible and not hard.

This was the first time we bought shoes there and they held up very nicely!

ETA: we always bought DS Stride Rite shoes but now he seriously wears through them super fast!

Amanda . Blaming my phone for typos and crap.

I like carters. They're wide (he has big feet) easy to get on and they last.

My 3yo boy insist on wearing his "firemen boots", rubber rain boots. My favorites are from our local farm store and only cost $9.99 and they are much better then the ones from Walmart.

Re: What shoes does your 3 yo son wear

When my older son was 3 I bought whatever was on clearance from payless. He had a tendency to lose his shoes. I think he might have pitched a few from our moving car. He also lost some in my mothers back yard. She had 1 1/2 acres of land. Not all was mowed. I remember once going to buy shoes twice in the same week because all he had left for his feet were winter boots. It was the middle of the summer.

Keens have held up very well for my rambunctious toddler.

I've never had the tennis shoes...but I'm looking at this style for my toddler

My older ds had a pair of Vans like this that held up to him...although he wasn't quite as active as my 2 yo now.

This is funny. Sounds like my kid. I could totally see his shoes getting tossed out of moving vehicles, or lost in a yard.

I was looking at ones kind of like that, we had Keen sandals this summer and loved them. It seem like these go kind of far up on the ankle though, like more than a regular tennis shoe would.
