Only a cloth diapered child.....

This morning, after waking up, DS1 (who is day PLed but not night) went to the bathroom by himself and shut the door. He was in there awhile, so I went to check on him. I picked up his overnight diaper (we use overnight sposies) off the floor and it was so soggy! I glanced inside and notice poop residue! He then told me he rinsed the poop out for me! Lol!

What crazy things have your kids done when older that came from your cloth habits?

Re: Only a cloth diapered child.....

I told DD that if she needs to wipe or blow her nose, we have flannel/terry wipes in the linen closet for her to use. Didn't want her to go crazy with a box of Kleenex. So when she tells DH that she needs to wipe her nose, she freaks out when he brings her a Kleenex or some toilet paper. "Daddy, that's not a tissue!"

Re: Only a cloth diapered child.....

ds loves to hover around when i'm changing dd's diaper, so that he can go throw it in the pail for me. whenever dd is wearing a sposie for some reason or another (sometimes daycare runs out of cloth, or grandma uses sposies when she is babysitting and leaves the house), he'll be right there too, begging to take it. problem is, he doesn't get the difference, even when i tell him. i keep finding sposie diapers in the cloth diaper pail. or worse, i catch it after it's gone through the laundry. i've tried talking to him, explaining that we throw these diapers away, etc. and he just doesn't get it. he looks at me all confused and goes "no mommy, that no garbage. you wash it". lol. it cracks me up.

it took me several shredded sposies in the dryer (which poor dh got blamed for. he has a history though, so i wasn't completely out of line ) before i caught on. now i just know that i have to go double check after ds offers to take care of a sposie for me.

Re: Only a cloth diapered child.....

Sweet child of mine absolutly refuses to wear sposies. Like he'll fight me, squirm to get away, and throw a tantrum. He also has to pick out his diaper. I tried to puto n a tiger stripped on the other day (Alva), and he said "No mama!! Cow!!!" so I had to go get a cow print diaper (Alva). Hey, who knew diapers could be educational?! He also has the black and red stripe ones (Alva) we call those his Pirate Booty diapers, so he when I grab one he goes "YARRRR!!!!". Too cute!!!
