Re: Keeping track of weight gain.

Dang, I just calculated by BMI, because I was curious, it's 21.9. That's on the lower end of normal, just a couple points away from underweight. :/ What in the world? I don't FEEL that way, lol.

Re: Keeping track of weight gain.

ooh, I am gaining fast. I haven't checked the actual number in a bit, but my clothes are getting tight in the rear end. The circumstances of the weight gain are good, all things considered. I was puking 4+ times a day for the first half of my previous pregnancy and couldn't (and didn't want to) keep anything down. This time I have to eat CONSTANTLY to keep from getting nauseous, but I only puke once or twice a week and actually have an appetite.

My pre-pregnancy starting weight was approx. 61 kilos/134 lbs. We were on vacation the week before I found out I was pregnant, and when I came home I had already gained 4 lbs. oops! I will weigh in when my partner wakes up. We don't do weight at prenatal appts here.

ETA: only up to 140! woohoo! I thought it would be way more than that.

I just got a free app called My Fitness Pal that tracks calories and exercise in a really user-friendly way. I was surprised by how easy it is to monitor myself.

Wow you must be tall. You're the same weight as me, but I'm only 5'3", so my bmi is right smack in the middle of normal. The bmi scale is weird anyways lol.

I'm roughly 5'6... atleast, that's what I think. I went to the doctor about 2 years ago, and they said 5'4 and some... but I don't think so. I really think I am closer to 5'6. If I am shorter, then my BMI would be a bit more.

Re: Keeping track of weight gain.

I don't like height/weight BMI, it doesn't take muscle tone or boobs into account.

Weighed myself at work today, I'm officially down 10 pounds.

Start weight 215, bmi 29.2 (lowest it had been in at least 7 years!)

Current weight 206, bmi 27.9 (been so queasy I've barely eaten :/ )

I was 170 when I graduated hs, and want to get back to that point. I'm 6' and have a large bone structure and large chest, so at 170 I was pretty darn slender. Hoping not to gain too terribly much during pregnancy, and then afterward get back on track with the diet I was doing pre-pregnancy that helped me lose 50 pounds in 6 months

Well, things are going REALLY well so far! I've been tracking my calories in an iPhone app, doing yoga and ballet with DD, and we just got a Wii Fit to help keep active this winter. I have a very noticeable bump, but my weight is stable and I feel like I'm getting more fit already.

I'm at 197.8 lbs as of 13 weeks. My goal is to gain 15 lbs in the next 6 months - with guidance from my midwife, of course.

Re: Keeping track of weight gain.

Prepregnancy- 154
@ 16 weeks- 160

I hope the weight gain stays steady (and healthy) so I end up in the 25-35 lb weight gain range.
