Big Mama's November Support Thread

Here goes the monthly thread for The Big Mamas...

This thread is for the mamas who have a long road ahead of them... Naomi started this thread because she felt that the Big Mamas face different struggles when working on weight loss. We don't just need to lose a few pounds to feel happy, we need to drop large portions of weight to be healthy and active!

Feel free to join me and the other ladies anytime!

I know it is a little intimidating to give your weight, but I really feel it is important to "say it out loud", so if you can, say that number for the last time and watch it shrink!

This thread is for the Big Mamas...women who are about 50-70lbs or more over their healthy weight (or were at the beginning of their journey). Join the ladies and I as we work our way to a healthier us!

Weight Loss Plan Eat to keep blood sugar under control, track food using Myfitnesspal, add in exercise again.

Another month at the exact same weight. Grrr..... I'm so sick of seeing that 155lb number! I hope no one minds that I posted the new month, I always try and wait a few days to see if who ever is actually "in charge" is going to post it, but when I can't wait any longer to post something, I do it. Sorry if I"m stepping on anyone's toes.

Weight Loss Plan: Eating when hungry only and eating low carb and high protein.

I just lost 1 pound of my 5 pound gain fron 3 days of cheating. The 4 lb gain was from having Jager. Obviously alcohol is my worst enemy. I ate a truck load of candy the next day and only gained a pound. So no alcohol for me if I want to lose and maintain the loss

Well, was at 222 or so, then AF stopped by and I gave into cravings, and then my elliptical is not available, due to a table being in that room, so I am back to 224-225. But, I did 30 minutes of dance this morning and have not had soda for a couple of days, so I am hoping to be back down next week. The table moves out of the sunroom tomorrow evening, so Wednesday morning I can use my elliptical again.

Hi ladies! I'm sorry I haven't been a "regular" in awhile. I was taking a break from internet time. I also had been taking a break from trying to lose weight but I've decided to get back into the swing of things this month. I'd really like to at least not gain anything over Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'd also like to start exercising, but I need to ask my doctor if it is okay so I am waiting until I see her on the 15th.

Starting Weight: 291lbs (2/2012)
Current Weight: 210lbs
Short-Term Goal: Start a new exercise routine and stick with it.
Long-Term Goal: 100lbs loss total by 2/2013, hopefully into a good exercise routine to lose lots of inches, too.
Weight Lost to Date: 81lbs
Weight Loss Plan: Counting calories, avoiding sugar/fried stuff, and mild/moderate exercise.

I should add that I've lost 12" off of my hips, 8" off of my waist, and have gone from a size 26 pant to a size 20.

Well I was SO CLOSE to reaching my goal. I was 190.5 on Sunday morning and I knew I could do it! I has forgotten I made brunch plans with my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. I ran off to brunch and allowed myself to cheat since the place is excellent and very expensive (Buffett style). Well I skipped dinner that night hoping to undue some damage but I checked the scale Monday morning and was up to 193.5. I should have just waited until today's weigh in. Instead I got really bummed out and ate burger king for lunch and pizza for dinner this morning I was still 193.5 so if I was good yesterday probably would have been around 191. Well today I am goin to just stick to my diet and tomorrow an hopefully Thursday morning when I get up I see 190. It really stinks that I let my attitude get in the way of meeting this goal.
