Re: November - Share your goals and progress

I got most of a trashbag filled, a stack of books for the used bookstore (I sell them there), and a basket for the consignment kids store while cleaning out my closet!

And I have a stack of diaper/ baby stuff to list on here as well. I made a TON of progress in a short hour. Yay me. Still have the still-packed boxesin the dining room- gah! Baby steps....

Re: November - Share your goals and progress

I LOVE this thread!

Friday and Saturday I helped a friend at her yard sale. I took a few things and made $70 so that got me motivated to start listing stuff again on here and my local FB group. I'm going to try and focus on that this week. I also need to take all the Halloween stuff down and start working on rearranging my living room for our Christmas tree. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Re: November - Share your goals and progress

I have 4 trashbags of clothes that I was able to clean out, even though after my last purge I thought I was done. A large box of random hosuehold and kitchen items. It'll go to Goodwill maybe Wednesday. Everything is out of the laundry room that needs to be now, so now it's just organizing.

Hooks to store stepladder and ironing board.
Rubbermaid shelving
Set up emergency supplies on shelving
Organize cleaning supplies on shelving.

I spent this last week cleaning playroom. Got another small box of junk out. Managed to condense 2 cubby units down to 1, and stored the extra toys in closet of playroom. Even thouge tt didn't get rid of toys, it cut down on visual clutter and I can close the closet door to prevent extra toys from being scattered and dumped. Most of the toys are organized into clear shoebox tubs, and stacked on the shelf. The rest of the toys are organized into 2 3-drawer storage units. I also put a 3-drawer unit in our coat closet to store pet stuff - brushes, collars, leashes, bowls, toys. Plan on 2 more 3-drawer units- one to store winter gear, so the girls can put away their own stuff without having to hang it. The other to store household stuff like batteries, owner's manuals, extra parts and screws, tools. Feel like I had a productive week.

This weekend was a wash for me. I was able to stay on top of general stuff, but my parents were visiting from out of town, so I spent yesterday out of the house doing things, and then visiting and today visiting before they left.

I hope this week to tackle the babies room and finish the big kids closet...and listing diapers/wool that I want gone!
