Any other mama in NV out there? Do you have Medicaid/NV CHIP for your kids?

We just found out the other day that our health insurance coverage through DH's job will be going up 30% next year, meaning that we can no longer afford it Are there any other mamas on here that live in NV and have coverage for their kids through the Children's Health Insurance Program?

Both of my kids are (thankfully) very very healthy and have no issues thus far at all, but I am really worried about making sure they are covered in case of sudden illnesses or injuries, etc. Is it hard to get coverage through the program? Is there anything I need to know before I apply? I'm going to call their ped now to see if they accept it but I thought it might help to talk to someone else who uses it.

I am in Las vegas. My kids have medicaid. We have had no issues and the application was super easy.


You can apply online now as well. Dwss.nv.gov (i think)
