I voted no. I have tiny babies so I knew OS would be out of the question. My 3 month old weighs 11 lbs. and is still in her newborn dipes. I have mostly OS with a couple sized ready for when she outgrows them.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?

Yes, BG Organics (I guess these are Elemental now?), but to be fair, my daughter was just under 9 lbs when born and potty trained at 21 months. I had a newborn stash though, so we didn't really start using the OS until around 6 weeks, but we could have.

GroVia fit birth to potty as well, but we stuffed them with tiny prefolds in the beginning instead of the inserts.

I voted no, I had to use newborn diapers. Right now I'm using small prefolds and OS covers. The only OS diapers my son can fit are Sunbaby sz 1. The others still gap around the legs and leak.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?

My twins were both born over 5lbs (but DS left the hospital under). We did use the newborn sized diapers for about a month but then switched to BGEs and they're still using them at almost 2.5. They were about 7-8lbs when they started wearing the BGEs full-time. (We always used Flips for night).

We did thirsties Duo wraps sz 1 when she was a newbie and then switched her to OS at about 3-4 months. So, about 10 pounds.

My option isn't really up there lol. We did preemie size, then NB, then smalls til about 10 months when her first OS fit. We used smalls til almost 18 months, but I also used a lot of OS since that's what I wanted to buy. My 2 month old is in nb, OS, and Thristies Size 1 duos lol

My bge fit from around 8lbs on my girl and I can still put them on my 38lb toddler although its a tight squeeze. Luckily he only wear diapers at night. My flips also fit from around 8lb and fit my big guy too.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?

MY son was about two weeks when he began to wear os and I really think he could have at his birth weight, but I didn't order til after he was born. I didn't take your poll, though, because he is two and not near PT yet. There is the chance that he could out grow them (the 4.0s)We'll see!

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?

I voted newborn/os, but it isn't completely true. That worked for DD1, but DD2 outgrew the os at around 7-9 months (I was often asked if she was 2!). We switched to flats and nb covers + OS covers of my own design that fit MUCH better. I have a 3 mo and 23 mo (DD2) wearing the same covers. I do carry 2 different sized flats, but only because I prefer origami fold.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?

We use sized diapers. All of my kids are peanuts and there is no way they would fit into any sort of one-sized diaper at birth. Plus I prefer side snapping dipes, so those are only sized. My girls never wore anything bigger than a medium before potty training and I suspect my little guy will be the same.
