Dd was 10lb coming home from the hospital and had/has feeding issues so she stayed small, plus she PLed around 18 months. So yes we could have easily used a OS system like BGs birth-PL. Snaps not aplix!

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
No. Didn't fit my scrawny 7lb12oz newborns and my DS outgrew the OS diapers at 2,5. He didn't PT until he was well over 3,5 so we needed bigger diapers for a good year. Unfortunately XL sized diapers are hard to come by so we used a mixture of cloth and disposables for that last year.
DD otoh used the OS diapers until she PT'd at 2,5. |

Not I. The only one size diapers that would fit my 40 pound (not quite) potty trained 2 year old would definitely not fit as a newborn.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
My DD was 5lbs 13 oz.... OS didn't fit till she was over 2 months old! (And then they didn't fit well for a while after that.) We used prefolds and covers during the newborn stage.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
Yes, because even though mine are born small, they grow so fast that they're in the one-size diapers within a couple of weeks. So I've been using the same diapers for my son since he was born, and my daughter was wearing the same diapers at 39 pounds at night that he was during the day at 10 pounds.

I bought newborn diapers but he fit my OS BG perfectly from the get go. His 30lb 2yo brother fits the same diapers, all though they are tight and low rise.. I'm using it to push me into potty training... Anyway. As a newbie the OS hS to be folded down in the front a bit for his cord stump, no big deal. I have flips as well and I rolled the back of them down twice. I prefered my OS to most of my newborns.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
Other-- I have used a variety of things. OS diapers that run smaller like my FB OS fit at birth but were too bulky for my taste. bigger OS diapers like HH or Blueberry did not fit at birth. I think it depends on what type of OS diaper you have.
birth to 7 weeks (8lbs to 12lbs)--NB diepaers and covers, Mini OS diapers, size one thirsties 8 weeks on-- Mini OS diapers, sized small diaeprs, and she also fits all the OS diapers I have. I am happy she fits into the OS diapers so I don't have to buy a bunch of sized diapers to have enough in my stash now that i am back to work and not able to do laundry and get it folded/put away as easily

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
We're an other. OS weren't available for my older two. I got some as part of the nb stash for my now 1 yo. They didn't really fit him properly until he was about 4-5 months old. From 0-4 months, we used prefolds with covers, a handful of lil joeys, and then moved into fitteds and covers. We're now using aios that can be stuffed and pockets. For all three of mine it seems as they grown and develop, we have to change things to accommodate them.

Re: Does anyone really go birth to potty in one size?
Don't know yet.
DD has been in Econobums since she came from the hospital (born at 8lb 2oz, lost 14 oz before we went home) and is 16 months and not potty-trained yet. And the Econobums just keep on going!
